Central Bedfordshire College was founded as Dunstable College in 1961 in Dunstable. In 2010, it was renamed Central Bedfordshire College. It is a further education college based in Bedfordshire, in England. Nowadays, the college consists of four campuses, based in Dunstable, Houghton Regis, Luton and Leighton Buzzard. Central Bedfordshire College offers a wide range of courses for full-time and part-time students. The vocational and academic courses include Access courses, A Levels, Apprenticeships and Vocational Studies in the fields of Art & Design, Beauty & Holistic Therapies, Business & Administration, Childcare, Construction, Counselling, ESOL courses, Teacher Training, and many more. The college is recognised by Ofsted as a “good college with exemplary features”. The college is known as a friendly college, which strives to provide outstanding education to its many diverse students. The more mature environment is appreciated by its student body. The school works closely together with The University of Bedfordshire and The University of Northampton. It is its goal to make sure that students achieve their maximum potential, academically and personally. Students with learning difficulties get additional support. The curriculum is based around the needs of the area, and the regional employers, in order to best prepare students for future employment.
