My university journey commenced with initial challenges, as I encountered a lack of adequate support. However, through open communication with the appropriate individuals, the university swiftly responded and provided me with exceptional support for the remaining two and a half years of my academic pursuit.
During this time, I encountered an instance where one of my module lecturers exhibited unprofessional conduct. Promptly bringing this matter to the attention of the university administration, I was pleased to witness their swift and effective handling of the situation, which resulted in my smooth transition to a different module. The university’s commitment to maintaining professionalism and addressing concerns promptly exemplified their dedication to fostering a positive learning environment.
The social aspect of my university experience proved to be a source of immense joy and personal growth. Through various opportunities to connect with fellow students, I forged lifelong friendships that have continued to enrich my life beyond the confines of academia. The university bar and common areas served as vibrant hubs where students congregated, providing a welcoming and convivial atmosphere for socializing and forming connections.

View moreSome lecturers really knew their stuff and also really cared for students. However, some clearly didn’t care and their lectures felt repetitive and time-wasting.
You could always get help from someone, whatever help you needed.
Placements need to be better sorted out in future (although the pandemic played into the difficulties with this) since some people were sent at least 1 hour away from home.
As most would expect universities are quite busy and make little mishaps during first year, with enrolling people which is very understandable.
But I would say that the continues issues that have followed lately makes me believe that Canterbury Christ church might not be the place. As they have had student enrolled into courses during the end of the semester however they do have a really good student union. And multiple extracurricular activities, which includes diversity and inclusivity.

There are research related workshops, library access, and academic advice which I found immensely useful. While I haven’t had opportunities to interact with other students, I have attended many workshops and have met some online.
View moreCCCU is for sure a centre of excellence. From the resources and the infrastructure, the university is just awesome. It was founded on Christianity hence it moulds good morals among students and even its staff. The professors are also good and helpful!
