As a graduate of the University of Kigali, I developed a deep understanding of students’ academic and social needs within a modern educational environment. My university journey taught me how to collaborate with diverse groups, coordinate student initiatives, and advocate for my peers with professionalism and empathy.
During my time at the University of Kigali, I actively participated in academic projects, student leadership activities, and mentorship programs. These experiences strengthened my communication, leadership, and teamwork skills, while nurturing my passion for helping students thrive both academically and personally.
Today, I am eager to bring this experience to an international platform, where I can represent students with an inclusive, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset. I firmly believe that every student deserves a strong voice and genuine representation — and I am committed to contributing to that mission through this remote Student Representative role.
View moreAs a student in the Business program at the University of Kigali, I’ve found the experience to be both enriching and foundational for my future career. The program offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and real-world application, which I believe is essential in today’s dynamic business environment.
One of the key strengths of the program is the quality of instruction. Most lecturers are not only knowledgeable but also friendly and willing to engage with students beyond the classroom. The course content is well structured, touching on core areas such as management, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship, which prepares us to think critically and act strategically.
Another strength is the university’s growing network and reputation in Rwanda and the region. There’s increasing emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation, which aligns well with the development goals of the country and gives students a chance to think beyond traditional career paths.
However, there are areas that could benefit from improvement. I believe more practical exposure like case studies, industry guest speakers, workshops, and internships would greatly enhance the learning experience.
In a nutshell, I’m proud to be part of the University of Kigali’s business program. I believe it lays a strong foundation for future leaders and entrepreneurs. As a student representative, I would be committed to voicing student concerns, strengthening communication between students and faculty, and advocating for enhancements that benefit our academic and professional growth.

There’s high level of social diversification and both students and staff of the university are very friendly. Being a foreign student, it was very easy for me to fit in and get to learn more about the Rwandan culture.
The prestigious university of Kigali is a home of half backed individuals . with its high rate of incompetent lecturers and poorly managed administrative sectors . you have to be very articulate to succeed in the university . therefore most of its products including me subjected our self to personal development . that’s why i can effortlessly compete with any student atound the world
