METU, found in 1956, is one of the top and oldest universities in Turkey. It has a leading effect on Turkish academic education with being first university to have 100% English education programme, which is one of the important reasons for me to be a part of METU, and to have a technopolis in its campus, etc.. Its campus has one of the biggest forests in Ankara and makes it full of green where you can enjoy nature without going anywhere far. METU also has more than 100 students’ societies where students can improve their social, mental and physical skills in an efficent way. Every departmant has professors well-known and highly respected by their academic works. All departments of engineering faculty have an international accreditation by ABET proving their students are ready for international problems.
