at Leiden University

N.B. This review concerns Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) specifically.

My experience at Leiden University of 4 years has in one word been ‘great’. The university is on the academic forefront and lectures are taught by top professors. There are always workgroups of smaller size lead by one of the professors supporting the study material, which are helpful to really understand the matter and provide the opportunity to get personal assistance if you have any questions.

For practicals you get access to the lower levels of the research department which is of high quality and quite modern. The lecture halls are a bit old and could definitely be improved. The building for the workgroups is functional and modern in contrast. The environment is quite nice although there is a lack of a real campus. The scheduling is done accurately and on time, which is quite good for planning your year.

All in all, I would definitely recommend Leiden University.
