I am currently finishing my Internship in Oulu , Finland – which I feel that the first 2 years in Hanze prepared me for qui’te well.
Prior to the internship I had very limited experience working in the field of game design.I had spent 2 years at the Hanze GDD course, the first being a quick introduction to 3 main areas of game design ; art, design and developing(programming). Whilst my second year was abit more useful in the sense that it taught to me to work to a brief and gave me more experience working in a time – I found that the 10 week period for projects was abit short.
I would love to be able to have more time and freedom to work in – however i do understand the strict time allocations of the first two years as they require the students to pick up alot of information really quickly.
In general the student teacher relationships are great and very easy going.
Bureaucracy arrangments/osiris/blackboard hand ins are a nightmare though.
