My course in Media Studies (which is supposed to be communication and journalism) is way too theoretical and it lacks application on practical issues! At the end of the three years, I will not be able to use any software and media that any employee may expect from me graduating from Media (such as camera, editing, video production, but also reporting, usage of word press or other blogs for writing etc). It is all very interesting but just if you want a very ACADEMIC bachelor, to go on doing a PhD maybe. It is completely useless to get a job in communication. Moreover, if you expect to go on exchange, pay attention that it is possible for just 6 months AND they will NOT provide you any information! You will have to spend hours and hours looking at any singular university, checking their program, courses etc, without any guidance!! The process in itself is so complicated that basically, it seems like they do not want you to go on exchange! I applied without even knowing if the courses I am interested in are available to me! Furthermore, prepare to pass your language course for the exchange already since the first year!!! The useless study advisor told me not to worry, that I was just in the first year, but in the second year, I was supposed to already have a C1 of french, german, or Spanish If I wanted to go to certain countries. Therefore I could not go because of a lack of time for preparing everything. Then, they said they will have told us the exchange destination on 27 March but they failed to do so. Do not go to Groningen! Such a University ranked so highly should behave very differently!!
