Academics at UIC Barcelona

The university is organised into various faculties covering a vast amount of subject areas: the Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Communication Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, and the School of Architecture.

Research is also conducted at UIC Barcelona thanks to several institutes and centres being added since its founding. Some of these institutes include: the Institute for Multilingualism, the Doctorate School, the Charlemagne Institute for European Studies, the Bioengineering Institute of Technology, the Research Institute for Evaluation and Public Policies, the University Institute for Patient Care, Institute of Advanced Bioethics Studies, and the Institute of Advanced Family Studies – which became the most important institute in Spain in the area and study of family policy.

Student Life at UIC Barcelona

Sports are an important part of life for many students, and UIC Barcelona is well aware of this. The institution maintains agreements with several different sports facilities which offer various services and discounts to students, family members, and alumni. Team sports are also run by the university which students are encouraged to get involved in.

As for accommodation, there are specially-designed student residencies in which students can stay, however this option is not operated by UIC Barcelona, so students must organise accommodation themselves.

There are Student Services, though, to aid students with everything connected to university life.
