I think the university still has a lot to improve, as some practical classes have too many students, and some teachers leave a lot to be desired, but with a little effort and initiative, it can be solved quickly.
View moreI am currently studying the fourth year of the double degree in Linguistics and Applied Languages and English Studies at Universidad de Cádiz.
The location of the university is fantastic as it is right next to the sea, and the residences they offer are affordable and recommendable. At this university they teach subjects from many different degrees and double degrees, but based on my experience in my double degree I have to say that the subjects are very attractive and interesting if you are passionate about the world of language. There are very practical subjects such as phonetics and phonology or semantics, but there are more theoretical subjects in which you learn a lot such as psycholinguistics or sociolinguistics.
As for the secretarial services at the university, they leave a lot to be desired. If you have problems with paperwork, you will almost certainly have to deal with them yourself. However, the same cannot be said of the library services, which are very new, intuitive and user-friendly.
The facilities are in very good condition, the classrooms are spacious, there are lab rooms with computers, headsets and other digital resources, the library is large and has numerous soundproofed rooms ideal for studying or group work.
