Studying at the NWU has been a transformative experience that went far beyond academics. While the course was meticulous and sometimes overwhelming, it has taught me a valuable lesson in discipline, time management and resilience. At first, the heavy workload felt intimidating but overtime I realised that it was preparing for the demands of a professional life. The varsity environment has encouraged me to think critically and engage deeply with the material rather than just memorising the content. I also grew personally learning how to balance my responsibilities, collaborate and adapt to challenges. The community at NWU played a huge role to my growth, having to have such wonderful classmates who where willing to help to lectures providing guidance that extended beyond the lecture hall. I found myself becoming more confident in expressing my ideas and more solving problems. The experience wasn’t without its challenges such as deadlines piling up etc, but these obstacles have taught me patience, perseverance and never giving up. Looking back at my 4 years at the varsity, NWU gave me more than a degree, it gave me the ability to face future challenges with confidence and determination. My advice to new student is to stay consistent with their studies, ask question whenever you feel stuck, and embrace the journey, it will shape you in ways you don’t expect.
