View moreThe bachelor program I’m enrolled in is “Creative Technology” which complies with technology and visual arts. It is a new and innovative major that is in high demand in the workforce. Personally, I am not a fan of the technicalities of programming and technology but this major just covers the basics and fundamentals of programming and focuses more on the creativity and the implementation of it using technology which is perfect for me. This major is highly project-based and relies very little on actual assessments and this really prepares you for the workforce. This program was exactly what I was expecting and I love all aspects of it, there were no surprises and I would definitely recommend this program to my friends. On the downside, the university has very little “university life”, there aren’t many social activities held by the university for students to integrate more and that resulted in me having a tough time making friends. Most students are Portuguese/speak Portuguese and have very few International students.
Professors are not the best at teaching, you have to do a lot of work from your side to understand the course. The facilities are not really worth the money you have to pay, they are very mediocre considering it is a “creative university”.
It’s a really fun programme although we always have a lot of assignments, but it’s a good way to prepare us for the future. I would definitely recommend this programme to anyone that wants to study design, it also gives us international opportunities.
View moreThe curriculum is very wide which is good because we try everything and can have a better idea of what we like or not. The COVID was bad for the students because the work we do is practical so it was hard to maintain that aspect at home.
View moreIade is a great place if you are a creative person and love a small family school rather than big big campuses. However for Erasmus students I have the feeling they sometimes not quite know what is going on or what we need to do and this is unfortunate.
