At the University of Aveiro, most courses require advanced and precise laboratory equipment. All this material is available and is updated frequently, which is crucial for the smooth running of classes.
In terms of classes and professors, my experience suggests that classes could often be taught differently, as we have courses where theory and practice are essentially the same, just with different professors. Or, in other cases, the subject matter is so different that it doesn’t even seem like the same course, failing to combine theory and practicality. Most professors are quite approachable and competent in their field, but the coordinators have a habit of assigning professors to teach courses they’ve never taught before in 20 years of teaching.
Outside of classes, the university offers a pleasant day, thanks to its friendly, green spaces, abundant company, and compassion among everyone. The department bars are well-designed and offer a wide variety of options, as well as the CUA (Court of Education), the student union bar, the library, and the various cafeterias. In conclusion, life at the University of Aveiro is typically calm, with easy access to any academic problem.

This university real helped me grow in all aspects of my life. All the professors, colleagues were amazing. The spirit of helojng each other really stands out. A great place to prepare your self for your professional life

Aveiro is the Portuguese Venice, making it the most beautiful city in our small country. Its university takes advantage of the natural beauty of its surrounds, being right in the middle of the previously active salt farms and wide river areas. This infrastructure serves as the basis for a solid education system, with massive cooperation between students of different studying areas.

It’s a very well equipped university, no matter what you are studying. It’s filled with fun and educating activities and the campus itself welcomes every ” student life activity” that it can. It’s cool.

The University of Aveiro is a good young university for the field of Electronics. You have very well equipped labs, regularly upgraded with modern equipment and the courses focus a lot on the applied side of things, being a very good complement to theory. Besides, you will normally engage in projects regarding said projects, where you are given independence to make your own decisions on how to proceed. All of that mentioned above and the good relation of the Department and student NGOs give you a very good prospect and knowledge of the job market.
Regarding student life, there are parties, cultural and sports events, that make your free time easy to occupy. There are also plenty of international students, which, if you won’t allow you to engage in multicultural environment.

All in all, the university of Aveiro makes for a full student experience

I recommend this university because of the beautiful campus and the great students’ environment. It is a big university but the different departments are in the same area. The facilities are really good and the professors, in my experience, are competent and available for the students.

I´ve been studying in University of Aveiro for three years. The part of the university I´m more comfortable to talk about is my department, DETI.
It is getting a bit old, although it is very well equipped. It has basically everything we need for the electronics and telecommunications practical classes. The teachers are quite strict, but I think they prepare well the students in hard skills, but also in facing up a company.
In general, it is a quite nice university, with many opportunities for the students to shine.

I’ve been studying in this place, for 3 years now, and only thing i can talk about is my department: DETI. (Electronics and computers Departments)
Its a very well equipped department, and mostly good teachers, competent, strict (but in a good way) and very good at explaining, always open to help us and very proactive.

This university has a perfect environment to grow, since the departments are all together in the campus, allowing a big cooperation between the students, even if they are from different study fields. The quality of the teaching is also really good and, although the city isn’t really big, I the overall nightlife experience it’s nice.

It’s a great university, a big campus and lot of space to study, as well as a great view to Ria wich is a awesome place to chill after exams. As a student i’m always learning something new, improving my skills, the teachers are always available to help me overcome my difficults and motive me to work harder and learn more. The course i’m currently attending it’s excellent and has a lot of employability. I already did it more than once and i’ll continue recommending, not only the course but the university as well.
