One of the biggest universities in Poland (more than 200 years of existence) with a lot of traditions and a lot of students. I’ve spent here last few years and I think it’s a good place to study.
The condition of buildings varies between faculties but through the years I see it’s getting better and better. Unfortunately, not all the buildings are accessible for disabled. Especially the oldest ones.
I don’t know all the faculties, but at the Faculty of Management, the equipment is in pretty good condition, though it could be more places to sit between lectures and newer projectors (the quality of those used now is not the best).
There are also some programme changes coming which is a good news for new students choosing this Faculty. I think it’s getting more practical, as far as it can.
Most of the professors are well experienced and have big knowledge that they want to share with students. You can see it, especially if it comes to marketing and strategic management professors, even if their exams are not the easiest.
Sometimes there are some struggles with administration part but it’s not something you are not able to live with 😉
Unfortunately, the Faculty is very big so it’s impossible to know everyone (even students of the same year). The same applies to the whole University. But there are a lot of students’ organizations that make meeting new people very easy.
In general, University of Warsaw is a good place to study and I would recommend studying here.
