Globalisation strengthens the connection between companies from all over the world. It is time people understand the importance of international business.
International business degrees are shaped to give students practical knowledge about different business management practices from all over the world. In addition, candidates are prepared for business careers abroad or in organisations that are engaged in business on a global scale.
Moreover, international business is vital in order to understand different cultures and mindsets and ultimately become a global citizen.
A degree in International Business prepares you for a job in a culturally diverse business environment, which means that any graduate can benefit from opportunities in any country.
The advantage of an International Business course is that you are highly employable for most industries since the majority of skills acquired are transferable.
Candidates studying international business will also gain information and insight about the difficulties of starting and growing businesses from different countries, something which is of utmost importance for anyone who wants to make their business thrive.
International Business is usually a three-year commitment, depending on each university. Lately, there are institutions which offer the possibility of having a ‘sandwich course’, which basically enables the candidates to work abroad for one year in the industry, as part of their studies.
The purpose of the ‘sandwich course’ is to encourage students to step outside their comfort zone and work in a different culture and environment. In this way, they will understand other mentalities, as well as gain relevant working experience in the field.
After 2 academic years at GUT, I can say with confidence that I have really enjoyed my time in here! Starting from classes/lectures and integration events to the location of the University, I have been satisfied mostly about everything. I could see that GUT had a very high reputation in terms of labor market for businesses, where representatives of companies and big corporations come to look for new candidates for their organizations by organising job fairs, lectures etc. For example, I had a chance to take part in such a lecture arranged by State Street Bank representatives and passed tests organised later on. As a result, several students and I were granted a summer internship, after which most of us including me continued working there. So, in terms of finding a job while still being a student GUT is highly recommended as most of the professors are flexible when it comes to attendance. Additionally, you can easily integrate by joining Erasmus 😉 they always have something planned like party, meetings, games, trips etc. I have met many interesting people/brains/personalities/characters and made many friends.
So, I have no regrets at all choosing GUT as a university for my Master’s degree! I would make the same choice if I had to choose again 😉
Well, when I am writing the review about this university first I have mentioned the city for me it’s one of my life-changing experiences in this city. Politechnika Gdansk is having quite a good standard in terms of education and in my department multicultural environment makes this study more vibrant.
In Gdansk after finishing study foreign student like me can have a great opportunity to stat their carrier but yes in Poland we face a bit language barrier in terms of finding jobs. So scopes will be limited.
I love the environment of our university especially the library is one of the attractive places. When it comes to my mind to recommend this university, I would say that I will highly recommend it to my friends but I am not sure whether I will ask them for my faculty.View more
