Im a final year student at DHA Suffa currently pursuing my bachelors in Software Engineering and my overall experience has been positive. Every institute has its pros and cons but in Suffa’s case, i believe the pros outweigh the cons. The university has been delivering somewhat of a good balance in theoretical and practical skills. Campus life is not the most diverse in terms of facilities, but it is satisfactory.
The thing that i personally like the most are the frequent workshops, career fairs, events etc that gives industry exposure and networking opportunities to the students which can help them immensely in kickstarting their careers. Another thing that i like is the university’s International Education Resource Center (IERC) which has been sending students abroad for semester exchange programs, tours etc. They have been signing a lot of mou’s with universities around the globe. Mid tier universities in Karachi usually do not have this resource. Its a kind of a new thing for students here which attracts them and is quite exciting. One of the few dislikes that i had in the earlier days of my bachelors was the inefficiency of the management which has now been improved a lot and is still improving.
I would recommend this institute to students interested in pursuing a tech related field which can include CS, CYS, DS, SE etc. Because you can get good industrial exposure and opportunities to go abroad. There is a mechanical and electrical department as well but Im not quite sure of how it is since I only know about the CS department. They offer psychology and IR as well so students interested could visit their website to further look into programs.
View moreTo begin with, I believe the university offers modern facilities and strong academic programs, particularly in fields like engineering and business. It has an extremely strong management team that plays a vital role in adding value to the institution. However, this does not mean that the university is without drawbacks. In my opinion, one challenge is the commute to the university every day, as it is located on the southern side of Karachi.
In addition, if you’re interested in pursuing a technical or business-related degree, DSU can be a great choice. Therefore, I highly appreciate my university and the opportunities it provides.
View moreI used to study International Relations at the National Defence University, one of the best international universities located in Islamabad. I then transferred to DHA Suffa University to experience the lifestyle of Karachi’s universities, partly because of its MOU signed with Bilkent University in Ankara. DHA Suffa is a nice university with good teachers. Another reason for my transfer was to experience different places and institutions. Later, I plan to take the CSS exam in Pakistan, known as one of the toughest exams. I have completed internships at the UN in Turkey, and now I am looking for a good job where I can gain valuable experience.
View moreDHA Suffa University is a very good institute for education plus they also focus on character building by making you participate in different activities like community service, different motivational speakers and different people who own their own company are called for the students inorder to inspire them. They have different societies which also helps you build your confidence, leadership skills communication skills and etc. In our programme they take you to different companies to help students have the idea how a company functions and which departments works on which category. Overall its a great institute for BBA as they balance studies and practical activities together.
