The school is well known in Akwa ibom state. The student life is quite okay over here. The major issue is the lackadaisical attitude of some lecturers towards their assigned classes. The students then have to suffer for it during examinations

The University of Uyo is one of the best federal universities in Nigeria. The school academic calendar moves at a swift pace (that is without the ASUU strike issues). However, there are some security threats, especially during night classes.
