I studied under the SUA program which is intended for people who cannot / do not want to attend classes every day for which ever the reasons. It demands a huge commitment since you go once a week to discuss what you have learned by yourself during the week. The teachers are normally dedicated to this program but it doesn’t diminish their skills, actually I would say they develop a different kind of creativity. I think the UNAM is a very competitive university by offering this alternative for working people or those who live in the surrounding cities. To sum it up, all the resources are provided but it is up to the student to really take any advantage of them.
