The University of Pisa is perhaps the most advanced in Italy in fields of mathematics and physics. In fields like engineering, it gives a very strong theoretical basis, and its pupils gain a high level of knowledge. However, it lacks in offering hands-on experiences and the classic and theoretical style remains in the Master’s degree leaving students without any idea about professional world once the course is finished. Soft skills are not implemented at all and network with companies is very weak as well as the career service offered to students.
Summing up, University of Pisa is ideal for who is looking for a PhD and for those interested in research, but if you are a pragmatic person and expect to learn a job, stay away from it.
