UNIBO (University of Bologna) is one of the most ancient and known in Europe. It has centuries of highly qualified professors, excellent study programmes and experience in research and training.
My study course involved foreign languages (Russian and French), both of which very well taught, with practice in classes and support in case of need.
Th course also included the study of foreign literature, so I studied French literature and Russian literature, and both of them got me involved very much.
The teachers often involved the students in academical activities, such as seminars, internships, contests and so on.
As for the support services, they were excellent. I had all my problems resolved in no time.
One really great thing about UNIBO is the high scholarship you get if you have economic issues, it really allows you to pay the rent and to live in a city which is not very cheap. Of course, in order to get the scholarship, you should pass all of the exams required.
One negative aspect was the building in which I had most of my classes, which was small and often not prepared for many students. So I would suggest finding better alternatives.
Bologna is one of the most lively and active cities in which a foreign or Italian student can study, it’s multicultural, people are friendly and very open to new cultures. I definitely recommend studying in Bologna!
