Globalisation strengthens the connection between companies from all over the world. It is time people understand the importance of international business.
International business degrees are shaped to give students practical knowledge about different business management practices from all over the world. In addition, candidates are prepared for business careers abroad or in organisations that are engaged in business on a global scale.
Moreover, international business is vital in order to understand different cultures and mindsets and ultimately become a global citizen.
A degree in International Business prepares you for a job in a culturally diverse business environment, which means that any graduate can benefit from opportunities in any country.
The advantage of an International Business course is that you are highly employable for most industries since the majority of skills acquired are transferable.
Candidates studying international business will also gain information and insight about the difficulties of starting and growing businesses from different countries, something which is of utmost importance for anyone who wants to make their business thrive.
International Business is usually a three-year commitment, depending on each university. Lately, there are institutions which offer the possibility of having a ‘sandwich course’, which basically enables the candidates to work abroad for one year in the industry, as part of their studies.
The purpose of the ‘sandwich course’ is to encourage students to step outside their comfort zone and work in a different culture and environment. In this way, they will understand other mentalities, as well as gain relevant working experience in the field.
The facilities at Bocconi University are excellent. In addition to having outstanding laboratories that are undoubtedly the greatest in the world, the university has been able to build up a terrific academic calendar for learning.
View moreThe reason Bocconi University is among the greatest universities in the world is that it offers all the courses that students need, in addition to having excellent facilities and a supportive environment for learning.
View moreIt’s been 5 years since I was admitted to Bocconi University as a law student. I may say that now I am able to make an assessment of what Bocconi offers and the pros and cons of the law department. Firstly, I want to underline how the university perfectly fits the spirit of the city which hosts it. As Milan, the university is a full ferment of ideas, people and events. That aspect has a strong impact on the student life: each student is inspired and stimulated by the surrounding environment and pushed to a better version of himself- even though sometimes it may be very stressful. In effect, the university provides you with all the tools to fulfil your dreams and to be ready to the “adult world”-even when you’re still a student. The key is tho find a balance between classes, studying and extra activities and overall to benefit from it.
As regards the law school, I must say that the teaching quality is quite high and offers you different perspectives to approach the subject. Maybe it doesn’t offer a complete and ordinary preparation as other Italian university but it gives the method and the logic to face a legal challenge. Moreover you will be able to practice it through moot competition, group assignments and legal clinics.
If your future career ambitions are slightly different from the ones usually envisaged, it may be the right place for you!
My experience is very positive, I recommend it for economics and legal studies. Specifically I attend a five years integrated master in Law and in 4th year I chose a corporate law major, dedicated to future business lawyers.
