I attained my bachelor’s degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. My programme of study was Bsc Mechanical Engineering. This is an outstanding programme as it allows students to involve in practicality on the field and not only theory. Excellence is our hallmark. The availability of lecturers to students through teaching and assignments help students to attain a second to none grades on completion. KNUST is a popular University in Ghana that is endowed with enough infrastructures to facilitate teaching and learning. The school is filled with countless number of trees that provide shade almost everywhere on campus. Students are polite and also dress decently. KNUST has a stadium embedded on campus that strike exciting entertainment through sports. Although security was a challenge for students living in hostels , the school’s security team has taken effective measurements to curb this menace. KNUST is the best school especially in Engineering. All academic activities are tailored to prepare you well for the future. They have a very conducive environment for learning. In terms of facilities they are second to none. Their top most priority is producing students to fit into our current system in problem solving. I liked the environment of Kumasi as a whole. Green Vegetation, frequent rain and sunshine. It was very conducive for academic studies. I liked how my program was structured and outlined. I had multidisciplinary engineering fields exposure. I acquired a great deal of knowledge and skill which has been of great contribution to my job success at the moment. KNUST grants students the opportunity to transition into independent and responsible adults having gone through the school curricula and extracurricular activities. I entered KNUST with a boy and left a man. I would recommend KNUST to anyone who intends to have the best quality education in the country. Should you ever gain admission to KNUST, do well to dedicate time for academic work as well as social life as these two are important for your career growth. And for another, try to have at least three internship programs before graduating to help your Cv.

My four years of tertiary education were well spent there gathering vast knowledge not only limited to my program of study but real-life experiences. I pursued Bsc. Mechanical Engineering. My first 3 years were spent covering a variety of subjects and I specialize in automobile engineering and applied mechanics in my final year. This allowed me to gather a cornucopia of technical skills and knowledge in engineering because of the variety offered in my first three years. Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology popularly known as KNUST previously known as Kumasi College of technology has been the number one choice of most ambitious prospective students who seek to achieve high educational standards ever since it was established in 1952. I personally never had any desire to obtain my bachelor’s degree from any other university in Ghana aside from KNUST due to the fact that it was and still is the leading university in training top-notch engineers who are ready for the field right after graduation. KNUST gives the students the opportunity to engage in practical sessions of all lessons that are being taught in the form of internships for a period of not less than six months. For students to get internship opportunities in a country that’s highly dominated by nepotism, the lecturers liaise with companies in order to help the students get the opportunity to be trained. I was personally trained by skilled professors from my first year in school till I completed it. In terms of field work, KNUST provides the necessary resources required to successfully practise what’s been taught in the lecture hall.
The school has a serene environment with well-pruned vegetation cover. A walk from the residential hall to the lecture area has a beautiful vegetation cover that stretches from both sides of the road with the walkways tiled along the road.
The KNUST security personnel that patrol the campus at all times help make Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology secure from all forms of violence and attack by and on some students. Still on security, during festive seasons, at which time the school mostly go on vacation, more security personnel are deployed to ensure the students leave the campus safely. In the whole of Ghana, KNUST has the highest form of security which makes it ideal for students to freely move about at all times without any form of fear.
Due to the location of the campus, being able to access foodstuffs and other basic necessities is as easy as it can be.

I highly recommend anyone who wants to be trained as a skilled engineer to consider KNUST as his or her first option. KNUST accepts students from all nationalities and have special packages to enhance their stay in ghana.
