My experience in Ashesi University was both exciting and challenging. One thing that struck me before applying to the school was the liberal arts system. As it was a first in Ghana and having researched on its benefits, I knew it was definitely something I’ll like because I did not yet have a particular area I was interested in. I loved how the courses were taught by the lecturers. They made it practical and exciting; very relatable in the Ghanaian environment. The system made me more open minded and gave me a lot of opportunities to develop myself and my career plan before graduating. It was however challenging because I underestimated college work. It required a lot more effort and time to pass courses. However I did not appreciate all the courses I’d taken till I reached my final year. The system also challenged me to always strive to be the best and for someone like me who is not the biggest fan of reading, some books read in some courses studied change my mindset about reading. A lot of knowledge can be gathered from books. I loved my college experience and will definitely recommend my school to anyone. I will not trade that experience for anything.
