Established in 1972, The University of Wuppertal is a dynamic university offering a wide range of subjects with interdisciplinary teaching and research profile. In 2014-2015, the students had continuously growing with almost 20,000 are now enrolled. The university consist of 992 academic staff and 581 administrative staff.
The university has their main building located in the suburb of Elberfeld on Grifflenberg. Today, the university now has 3 campuses around Wuppertal:

The University of Wuppertal had the second supercomputer called ALICEnext, which consist of 512 so-called Blades. It was used in the field of applied computer science, elementary particle physics, astro-particle physics and high energy physics.
