The university of Potsdam has a nicely located campus. The administration building is situated in a castle that is a part of UNESCO World Heritage.
The studies are divided into compulsory and selective courses. They are interesting, show students new way of thinking, broaden their horizons and are taught by open-minded professors. They are helpful and for sure not narrow-minded. Topics they choose to talk about during lectures and the ways of thinking they try to show students are innovatory and interesting. Professors do not criticize, they show the path. Each student has always a possibility to choose the theme he is interested in. There is a quite large scale. It is a pity that sometimes there are more students than the spots offered in course. So you should compete with another students by doing the additional tasks from professor, what should not be!
Maybe I would like to see more newest technologies to support the studying process. A little bit complicated as well to fulfill all the requirements of studying program: one should visit lectures and seminars, do the projects, write assignments, do the tasks (sometimes very extensive!) for seminars, which not always corresponds the real possibility of having time for ALL this almost at he same time. Sometimes one receives a little amount of credits for a very big amount of job done. Of job and imagination used.
But the connection with Berlin is perfect and food in Mensa is so cheap!
