I enjoyed studying there. I took part in the teaching programme and my subjects were English and Geography. I really liked my courses, especially the advanced Geography courses. The science of education courses though were mostly boring and not related to praxis.
Goethe-University also offers great opportunities to study abroad for one semester. I did it myself and I know many others who have, too. You can also transfer the grades, so it’s not a „wasted“ semester.

Library used to be outstanding.
Awesome classes. Skilled supervisors, yet enough space to grow on your own terms. The Language, Literature, and Linguistic classes were awesome. Most beautiful campus in Europe. All in all best time of my life during the 5 years of the Master’s Program.
View moreI appreciate the variety and diversity of the seminars offered. You have many opportunities to specialize in your field of interest. Especially with regard to critical theory, the social sciences department at the university in Frankfurt offers more choices than other universities. Likewise, due to the research focus in the program, there is a large and diverse range of methodological teaching (both quantitative and qualitative). The only criticism I have is that too little research into antisemitism is being conducted and respective teaching is being offered.
The campus is modern and equipped with the most modern technology, although we have only been able to use the campus fully since this semester due to Covid19. There should be more spaces in the library. The food in the cafeteria is too expensive.
View moreProfessors came from top universitites of the world, the campus and library is comfortable for studies and networking, during these corona times studies are online but still very comfortable, professors make study plans for us and try to understand the situation we are in. The only my concern is that studies are research and theory oriented, so I would recommend to make more practical courses.
