Freiburg University of Education (reviews)

The Freiburg University of Education was founded in 1962, representing a milestone in the history of teacher education in Baden-Wurttemberg. It was then the admission of the separation between lower and higher teaching profession must be lifted. They reestablished the university-type college of education, all teachers have been trained at scientific colleges. Other programs also added quickly, educators were trained in 1972 with the so-called Bologna Process then transferred to Bachelor and Master of Arts degree program. The BA Childhood Education were next introduced in 2008.
By 1984, the senior citizens’ study was founded and supported by the university since 1987. Around 600 senior citizens attended seminars and took part in university’s open-ended course.
The University of Education Freiburg offers creative possibilities such as university choir, orchestra, big band, sports program, literary workshop, theater groups in German, English and French. The location offers excellent leisure and sports facilities in the southern Black Forest. The university is characterized by a demanding and diverse university life.
