With the opportunity to go abroad for one semester on ERASMUS scholarship, my first year in HTW has been a rollercoaster ride full of learning, exiting opportunities, and growth for me. Completing one Semester outside of Germany is a mandatory part of International Management Program’s course structure at HTW.
The constant guidance from the University administration and professors made the entire process seamless and exhilarating!!
I had the pleasure of being part of HTW Dresden for a year and the experience could not be better. The university was super well located, next to the financial center of the city so the communications were very good. I must also say that usually, Dresden has a wonderful transport system that works 24 hours a day. In addition, both the building and the university classrooms were very well located and had a wonderful dining room (Mensa) with very good food and a very good price.
On the other hand and in terms of the educational level of the university it seems very good. The teachers have a high level and are very demanding what makes it necessary to give your best every day to get good results.
It also has a wide variety of subjects and in some of them you have a direct relationship with companies, so it makes teaching practical and helps to introduce you to the world of work since these experiences are real and therefore very enriching.
For all these kinds of things, I highly recommend this university as I believe it has a wonderful level of education and also in an environment and a city with thousands of students that makes the life experience comforting.
This university is perfect to study international business. The number of people per class is perfect so there’s not agglomeration of students. Also the professors are very kind and helpful so you can count with them if you need some tutorials or reach them for questions. About the facilities is very confortable the uni, even with some old buildings the classes are very good equipped and easy to get to them.
The university has also a canteen with a very good prices for having lunch, so that makes the logistics very easy.
Also the university has very good agreements with local companies so you can have some modules mixed between a kind of internship and normal lessons that make the learning much more productive.
I truly recommend this university because I think is perfect to study international business and also the city is pretty nice for a student. Dresden has very good connections around the city so that makes very easy move around.
I did enjoy my exchange semester in HTW Dresden which was full of practical excursions. The staff is very helpful and cooperative while the majority of educational materials are industry biased and practical driven.
