Academics at CBS International Business School

CBS has a wide range of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs taught both in English and German, the main focus of which is management. Doctoral Programs, MBA Programs and part-time courses are also available at the School. CBS aims to achieve a perfect mix of theory and practice through business games, internships, soft-skills courses and business projects. Teaching is delivered in small learning groups in order to ensure the individual needs of all students are met. Professors and lecturers supervise students intensively and help them achieve their academic goals over the course of their programs.

Master’s Programs at CBS are focused on a wide range of business areas, some of which are Marketing Management, Financial Management, Entrepreneurship, Digital Transformation Management, Digital Marketing and Business Psychology & Management.

Students also have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad with one of the 160 university partners all over the world. This is a chance for them to experience new cultures and stand out from the crowd in the job market as well as make new friends and important formal connections. It is compulsory for students on English-language Bachelor’s Programs to spend a semester abroad but all Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs offer this option.

Campus & Student Life

CBS has campuses in Aachen, Cologne, Mainz and Potsdam. All campuses are located in cities where students will never be bored. There are various activities they could do and places they could visit in their free time to clear their mind from work and enjoy the beauty of their surroundings.

CBS has students representing around 75 nations, which creates a nice international environment on campus.

The School believes in the balance between work and rest, which is why it offers many sports opportunities to its students. They can play various sports, such as lacrosse, football, basketball and many others.

Career & Alumni

CBS’s Careers Service offers career advice to students through a wide range of services, such as organizing career fairs and assisting students with their job application process. Career events are organized regularly on campus, providing students with multiple opportunities to network with company representatives and increase their chances of securing their dream job.

CBS partners with numerous large companies, which allows the School to keep its programs up-to-date with the contemporary business environment. Partnerships also enable CBS to provide more opportunities for internships and work experience to its students. Students can also obtain valuable knowledge and skills by taking part in business projects in cooperation with well-known companies. CBS reports a high level of satisfaction with graduates among HR managers at the companies, graduates secure employment with.
