It is a good university that offers free education for licals and internationals. Also its good that masters programs are in English. The one negative side is there are too many students for the infrastructure to support.
View moreGreat facilities, diverse resources and knowledge base. The various subjects offers can be taken advantage of to hone your skills. Good tie ups with the industry and amazing student life. The city is affordable to live in and student life is quite vibrant with lots of opportunities for fun as well as learning.
View moreI am a foreign student and I did not know German. But luckily, that was not a big problem for me, since the language center offers very good language courses. The courses are spread throughout the week at very comfortable times, such that we do not have to miss our regular lectures to attend these lectures.
In addition to this, the teachers are very proficient and often provide us with extra material (other than the coursebook) for more practice. They are also available after the lecture hours for doubt clearing.
Sometimes, the courses are also offered for free to the students who have German requirements for their degree programs.
In conclusion, I would definitely recommend taking language courses from the language center. It’s definitely better and a lot cheaper than other private language offering centers in Aachen.
View moreThe University is a research power house, turning over a lot of research funds. However, this funding does not flow into education that much. In most courses, there is little interaction and tutoring, however there is also a lot of independence. The exams are demanding and the course materials are mostly helpful and free. I would recommend this university to an ambitious, motivated and independent student.
