I had a incredible classroom
In an LL.M. in French and EU Law, sixteen BAC+5 students and professionals from all over the World got together as students to learn French and European Law in a multicultural environment of closed classes. The disciplines were several, from civil and commercial french Law to European Law in general and the organization of the European Union, from its basics to its nowadays perspectives and dynamics. With the opportunity to live in the “Cité Universitaire” of Paris, we took a train straight to the Univ, either at the Sorbonne Center or at its offices within the Malher Center, Line 1. Life at the “Cité Universitaire” was amazing, for we could encounter students from all over the World, with its many different “Maisons” and its integrational parties within the Campi. The school had many amazing professionals, who could bring academic points of view and professional appliances to the knowledge. For American lawyers wishing to work between the US and the EU is a must-do program, especially focusing on the french territory. If you wish also to have an overview, with an academic background in either Law or Business, if your goal is to set up an international business in France and/or Europe, it is indeed an excellent program. As a counterpoint, I believe the Univ could be more efficient in trying to help us find a professional stage to begin our careers in France. Maybe they have improved since my time. The office I had the experience to work with was from an ancient student, coming from the Sorbonne, who took me in for my professional background and as an ancient student, in respect of the University of Paris 1. A very qualitative program, with great aspects of multiculturalism and diversity.
View moreVery nice experience. High-level courses, with highly qualified teachers both humanely and scientifically. The school is located in the heart of the Latin Quarter, opposite the Panthéon, the best student district in all of Paris. The premises are fine. There are quite a few foreign students. Since the university is in the heart of Paris, the campus is not very big in the sense that there is no park with a garden, etc. There are a lot of students and therefore a lot of associations. Partnerships with foreign universities are very interesting.
View moreWe study applied mathematics for finance. Our professors take the time to answer any question about the course. I would like to see more exercices with their correction given to work on them before the exam. Overall I enjoyed all those years and professors at university should definitely get a significant raise.
