History is one of the most desired academic degrees amongst students when it comes to pursuing a Bachelor of Arts.
History degrees are designed to teach you to move beyond yourself and envision other worlds, to explore the interplay between material circumstances and human character. History combines the careful analysis of evidence with compelling storytelling. Moreover, History degrees aim to increase cultural sensitivity and literacy.
This degree is divided into various areas of expertise such as Classical History or Art History, which will help students gain relevant knowledge for themselves.
History is one of the most versatile undergraduate majors, due to the fact that it touches upon all forms of human endeavour from arts and languages to science and economics.
Candidates studying a History course will also be taught how to effectively collect, analyse, interpret, and arrange a wide variety of sources into persuasive arguments. Thus, having these skills will increase the chance of any graduate finding a job, no matter if it is in this field or not.
A report from Georgetown University’s Center on Education illustrates that graduates from History majors have the highest salary amongst graduates from all other humanities majors.
History courses are usually a three-year commitment and offer many academic programmes ranging from foundational courses to specialised ones. Some universities even have site excavations, through which students gain more practical knowledge.
Like most of the degrees, any History course concludes with a dissertation in any chosen area of interest.
I attended TBS as an exchange student from Canada in the final semester of my undergraduate degree. The experience at Toulouse was exactly what I was looking for. While the workload was not very challenging or time-consuming I did learn a few new things that I otherwise would not have. For that reason, I still found there to be value in my classes. If you’re looking for a school where you’ll have a good school to personal life balance TBS is the place.
View moreI liked the international surroundings with options to study courses in English and French both. I liked the professors and their different backgrounds. Student life with all the different activities was great in TBS.
View moreThe program of business in management had very interesting and different topics than other programs I’ve checked. I liked that I could focus my third year on one specific matter (I chose Digital Marketing). This is an option that opened many opportunities to me, because it was like a mini master, in other programs you would only see 1-2 classes on this topic.
View moreTBS is a very international school offering the opportunity to get both a strong academic background and hands-on learning through internships and apprenticeships across various fields of business.
View moreThe school is really good when it comes to its facilities and structure, the different programs and classes are good. But when it comes to its administration it can be improved by a lot. As an exchange student, they give you incomplete information, making your experience confusing at first. They have a huge exchange student base yet give 0 considerations to them and their needs as foreign students.
View moreWhat I liked the most about TBS was the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, also the professors were from different parts of Europe, so we got the chance to learn from different perspectives.
View moreTBS was one of the best business schools in Southern France. I did my student exchange in TBS and it was a very prestigious moment in my education journey. I have experienced a whole new collaborative learning ecosystem and worked with a lot of amazing and talented students from various nationalities. Overall, TBS really worth being one of your choices when learning business.
View moreThe program is well organized and the lectures are very interactive. The professors are the highlight as they are very supportive and always available. The assignments are very interesting and the professors always provide thorough feedback on the world.
View moreInteresting courses. Love the fact that there is French and English Track so you can learn English while being in France. International students and the possibility to do a 6 months exchange abroad in the second year.
