Academics at EMLYON Business School

The Business School is famous for its Global BBA programme. This is a post-Baccalaureate Bachelor degree. Students who undertake this course could choose between the range of campuses that EMLYON Business School has. The programme is taught in multiple languages. In the first two years, students have a choice between English or French as a learning language. The language corresponds to the choice of campus as shown below:

• French – Casablanca
• English – Paris and Shanghai
• French or English – Saut-Etienne

For the last two years, all courses at all campuses where the programme takes place, are taught in English.

The whole programme is designed around students’ choice. For example, during the third year, Global BBA students have to choose between an internship in the first or second part of the year or undertaking a 2-year double degree. By allowing future leaders to make decisions on their own, EMLYON Business School aims to improve their career planning.

The School is practice-oriented in its approach to teaching. Internships, projects, business games and many other real-life activities allow students from EMLYON Business School to experience the real-world business environment from the first year of their education. At the end, all students regardless of their academic experience, are required to prepare a dissertation in order to present the business knowledge and skills they have developed over their programmes.

EMLYON Business School offers a range of Masters programmes as well. Students need to make a choice among different areas of development, such as Management, Marketing and Finance. Additionally, there are several Masters courses (Sports Industry Management, Luxury Management and Marketing Food Industry and Biotech Management) which direct students towards a very specific sector and industry. Masters courses have different durations, depending on the chosen course, and consequently result in different types of degrees.

Campus & Student Life

EMLYON Business School values extracurricular activities a lot. The School is home to a student association named Le Petit Paume. It is one of the biggest student finance associations in France. The association explores a range of activities, cafes and restaurants with the aim of creating an annual guide. The School hosts many fascinating events, such as Le defi de Bacchus (wine-testing). It also organises the Grands Crus competition.

The School is located a bit further away from the city center. It has a modern building surrounded by green places. Close to the building, there is a restaurant and several bus stops, which make transport from the School to the rest of the city quite easy…

Career & Alumni

The business school has its “forever alumni network”, which enables graduates to maintain their relationships although they live in various countries all over the world. The “forever alumni network” allows alumni to share their experiences and ideas as well as support each other and the School even after graduation.
