I liked the first year classes, ps101 and ps102, my professors were quite nice but some of them were quite monotone and I felt like the lectures were useless and it was better to just read the textbook. The school vibes are very community based, feels like a big high-school and it was easy for me to make friends.

The classes are well taught, even though there are sometimes when profs go to quickly. The school’s location is very nice, away from home but not too far, so that is definitely a plus. As well there are a lot of opportunities, for students to thrive and better themselves and that is why I believe Laurier is a great school to go to.

There is a lot of information within psychology and paying attention to details remained key throughout the courses. The professors at Laurier were very considerate of the learning style each of their students had and made efforts to adjust to them as needed. The overall school environment was friendly and welcoming, and also motivating in the areas provided for studying. I would recommend Laurier to students who are more independent as it is known to be a commuter school, and the individuals around you are very much independent themselves. The school’s response to student emails regarding issues or concerns was also fast and very helpful.
