For first-year students living on campus is a great way to make connections and create lifelong friendships and if you are ever confused on what to do the ever-present presence of your Residence Advisor will make you feel safe while providing the answers you need.

The University of British Columbia allows for many opportunities for students to not only discover their passions but also provides students with the resources to succeed in the workforce. The Sociology program is a broad program, allowing students to branch out and expand their studies but also study a more narrow field which interests them.
