My opinion on this university is that it is EXTREMELY underrated. I loved everything about it. My goal is to put this university on notice in the near future with my long term goals. Overall, Trent University was a blast, and I will never regret going there!
View moreMy third year of post-secondary was my first year in university. I found adjusting to the differing education structures to be a challenge initially. After two semesters at Trent, my opinion is that I have been given the opportunity to expand my career options. I like the professors that I have been given the opportunity to learn from and I dislike some aspects of their website such as not receiving automatic notifications relating to announcements that professors release. I do recommend Trent to others who are pursuing a post-secondary career.
View moreIn my opinion, I love my time at Trent and the Peterborough area. It is a small school, which allows you to connect with your professors much easier. The majority of the professor has been really intuitive and genuinely great teachers. But, there are many that still struggle to connect with students. There are also a multitude of negatives I personally have struggled with since being at Trent. One huge issue is the housing crisis and the ability to find housing. Trent University has accepted more students into the school than ever seen before without the housing infrastructure to support the huge student intake. The prices of food on campus are also a huge issue that I have seen actually expressed to cafeteria cooks, who have absolutely no control over the pricing of the food. In conclusion, Trent’s main benefit is the people associated with the University, the people that care for the students and are personable with the students. But, there are many systemic issues that those beautiful people cannot change.
View moreTrent University is a quiet small University. It has positives to this style such as knowing more professors and students. It also has its negatives like having fewer companies and firms in and around the city and campus.
View moreThe University has a great campus with big classes and has a good amount of international students. The professors are very helpful and good at teaching. The University could improve its housing facilities by increasing the number of houses as more and more students come each year. Overall it’s a great university and I would definitely recommend it to others.
