As I reflect on my time at Queen’s University, I am filled with gratitude for the transformative experiences and invaluable lessons that have shaped my personal and academic journey. Queen’s University provided me with an enriching environment where I was able to pursue my passion for Kinesiology while fostering personal growth and development.

One of the most remarkable aspects of my experience at Queen’s University was the supportive and vibrant community that surrounded me. From dedicated professors who nurtured intellectual curiosity to fellow students who became lifelong friends, I felt a sense of belonging and camaraderie that fueled my academic pursuits. The collaborative nature of the university encouraged open dialogue and the exchange of ideas, fostering a stimulating learning environment where diverse perspectives were celebrated.

The rigorous academic curriculum in Kinesiology challenged me to think critically and approach problems with creativity and innovation. Through courses in health promotion, exercise physiology, and research methods, I gained a deep understanding of the complex interplay between physical activity, health, and well-being. However, one challenge I encountered during my time in Kinesiology was the realization of limited job options post-graduation without pursuing further education. While the degree provided a solid foundation in health sciences and equipped me with valuable skills, I recognized the importance of continued education or specialization to access a broader range of career opportunities in the field.

Beyond the classroom, Queen’s University offered a plethora of extracurricular activities and volunteer opportunities that complemented my academic pursuits. Engaging with organizations like the Queen’s Muscle Physiology Lab and participating in community initiatives allowed me to broaden my horizons, develop leadership skills, and make meaningful contributions to society. These experiences not only enriched my university experience but also instilled in me a sense of social responsibility and a commitment to making a positive impact in the world.

As I embark on the next chapter of my journey, I carry with me the invaluable lessons and cherished memories from my time at Queen’s University. The knowledge, skills, and experiences gained during my undergraduate years have equipped me with a strong foundation upon which to build my future career and continue my quest for lifelong learning. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Queen’s University community and will always cherish the bonds forged and the lessons learned during my time at this esteemed institution.

Queen’s University is a great place to study. It beautiful on the outside and is located near downtown Kingston. The program is good and the people are nice too. The campus is amazing and has two libraries as well as several retail dining locations.

I truly love Queen’s University, I am in Health Sciences and have thoroughly enjoyed the programs teaching delivery. The courses are delivered blended, that way I can complete the course notes on my own time and use my own personal techniques to support my learning. However, it can sometimes be difficult to teach a course to yourself and not have a professor speak in front of you. By asking the professors questions during class I am able to enhance my learning and ensure I am comprehending important course content. I highly recommend anyone thinking about applying to Queen’s Health Sciences program to do so. It has a brilliant, innovative course layout that is designed to allow students to guide their own learning!

As a student in the first ever in-person cohort of the bachelor of Health Sciences, my experience has been extremely rewarding. My program is extremely unique in that we learn via a flipped classroom model. Thus, instead of sitting through long lectures, we learn content on our own time, from the comfort of our own home. Class time is used as an opportunity to discuss the content learned with our classmates. Learning through this method has enabled me the opportunity to become more independent, organized, and well-balanced.

I had an amazing experience at Queen’s, moving from Vancouver to Kingston was very intimidating for me but once I settled in there was no doubt that I had picked the school for me. Student life was exemplary, everyone was excited to make new friends and make long-lasting memories with them. School took the back burner for a while so if you end up coming to Queen’s make sure you can balance your school work and social life to avoid falling behind.

All in all, I am extremely grateful for Queens and all it has given me in life lessons, practical skills I need for the future, and amazing friends.

I love Queen’s University for so many reasons including the student life, courses offered and so many other opportunities offered. I have been able to join so many different clubs at Queen’s with some surrounding science and others playing sports. This gave me the chance to meet so many new people and opened me to so many new experiences. For courses, they have a course for every subject and topics relating to everyday experiences and what is going on in the world.
