Globalisation strengthens the connection between companies from all over the world. It is time people understand the importance of international business.
International business degrees are shaped to give students practical knowledge about different business management practices from all over the world. In addition, candidates are prepared for business careers abroad or in organisations that are engaged in business on a global scale.
Moreover, international business is vital in order to understand different cultures and mindsets and ultimately become a global citizen.
A degree in International Business prepares you for a job in a culturally diverse business environment, which means that any graduate can benefit from opportunities in any country.
The advantage of an International Business course is that you are highly employable for most industries since the majority of skills acquired are transferable.
Candidates studying international business will also gain information and insight about the difficulties of starting and growing businesses from different countries, something which is of utmost importance for anyone who wants to make their business thrive.
International Business is usually a three-year commitment, depending on each university. Lately, there are institutions which offer the possibility of having a ‘sandwich course’, which basically enables the candidates to work abroad for one year in the industry, as part of their studies.
The purpose of the ‘sandwich course’ is to encourage students to step outside their comfort zone and work in a different culture and environment. In this way, they will understand other mentalities, as well as gain relevant working experience in the field.
UCW is a great school where you get to socialize with people from all over the world with different backgrounds. I will highly recommend this school to anyone seeking to study in a well-structured environment.
View moreWhat do I mean by “insights along the way” yeah, well it’s a way of saying or conveying rather my experience from freshman at 2022 till my second year so far. The business admin school has a way of putting into perspective a lot of things.

View moreUCW has a major advantage in the form of its small class sizes and personalized attention to students, with a student-to-faculty ratio of 16:1. This allows students to get close and personal with their professors, which is great for building connections and getting support. In terms of campus life, UCW is situated in downtown Vancouver, giving students the chance to explore a diverse and vibrant city. On campus, students have access to all the resources they need, such as modern classrooms, a library, and student lounge areas.

View moreMost of the professors at UCW are awesome. The content of the modules is interesting and the material provided is resourceful. However, the amount of work is extreme. Students need to have a to-do list to keep up with assignments.
View moreBeing a Business student at UCW, I have experienced a positive, responsive, productive and growth-oriented atmosphere. The way of operation and specifically, the student portal is amazing and 100% user-friendly. However, I’ve struggled with the course registration process and some delays in troubleshooting. Overall, I’d give a thumbs-up to UCW and highly recommend it for your endeavours.
View moreThe university is not following the usual western structure. Courses and professors are more like fixed templates with little to no room for professors to manipulate the courses’ outcomes. The university could be one of the great business schools in Canada, primarily since it only focuses on an MBA. However, the university does not offer specialized paths like Marketing or Finance; we can only choose three electives that we can use as specialization, but three courses are equivalent to just one semester. The school needs to ensure quality and added value to all its students. I recommend this school if the student wants to fast pace program running all year.
