To live and learn with international students has been a great experience. However, the professors speak an English which is hard to understand, their lecturers are basically useless. The exams instead are extremely difficult, we were intimidated by the professors with discouraging comments. Taking the exams was loud and chaotic, they did not manage to organise that properly. It looks like a previously good school and program is going down hill. There are passing rates of 15%. Therefore, a interesting, dedicated student body in a bad university.
View moreThe program was good, a very international community. The environment is good for learning. The lecturers are willing to assist but depending on the programme you in enrol in you might have more students also requesting the assurance of the professors.
View moreBar the introduction to marketing and market research there were no practical elements. No time for individual students. Mainly useful for telling us which textbooks to read. Lectures are generally very much the same as the books.
View moreThe content of the Master program is insanely big while for a working student that starts working at 08:00 and finishes evening class at 22:00, this is not feasible and not fair especially since there are many students following the evening class while they don’t work, so they have all day to study.
View moreI am taking the Masters in Management program. The program is quite bulky(too much information in little time), it’s possible & preferable to split your program into two years so you don’t get overwhelmed. Haven’t really experienced university student life due to covid however, from all I have heard and seen, there are usually parties and fun activities. I would definitely recommend VUB. There are alot of opportunities after graduation, it’s a very popular and truly international university.
View moreThe main challenge in vub is the one of accommodation for international students. There has been so many complaints to the student relation committee on our this needs urgent attention but this is to no avail. There have been tough moments and challenging times on campus for most of us as international students from Africa. If there is no better hospitality facility for students, there will be challenges in students attaining their future prospects and this will, in the long run, affect the economy of the country.
