I am doing a PhD in Cranfield University. The study environment is great with a lot of possibilities for experimental researches. My supervisors are very competent and well recognised internationally which is a sign of the quality of the research going on here.
However there is a lack of technician support in some areas that could be problematic if one is not fully autonomous, as well as a lack of money to renew some of the experimental and characterization devices when they are broken.
I like the fact that the surroundings are quiet and the proximity with London for weekend trips.
