Manuela Beltrán University is recognized for training professionals and citizens with a great sense of belonging and dedication to the other. From my experience, I did an undergraduate degree in physiotherapy where being a health discipline demands positively influencing the welfare of the other, promoting human body movement and the quality of life of the individual; for this, the university has practices in various sports, clinical care, community and administrative areas that bring you closer to reality. At the same time, it has laboratories of therapies, anatomy, biomechanics and others that help to enrich the formative process of one as a student to learn not only from the theoretical but from the practical. Another important item that the UMB has is the Ibero-American Center for personal autonomy and technical aids, created to favor the autonomy of people who have a disability or dependency situation, so that they can carry out their activities of daily life so that It is integrated into society. Now, regarding the environment of the university, this has green areas, especially in the campus of Cajicá where you can have a direct contact with nature and share with your colleagues where they are not always Colombian nationals but foreigners who come from exchange to deepen your educational process. Given all the above, I can say that the UMB forms leaders capable of intervening in the processes of health promotion, disease prevention, habilitation and rehabilitation that are placed in the role of the other as a person and patient who would like to be cared for by the better shape, with dedication and passion.
