at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki - AUTH

My name is Maria, i study history and archaeology in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.I like what i study, i find the courses really interesting and i believe that we have some excellent professors that we are proud to have. The thing i would like to be improved in my department would be to conclude in our history courses more about the history of the whole world and less about the history of Greece. I mean, of course i understand why this happens but as a historian, i would like to know more about other cultures and less about the things i’ve learnt my whole life anyway. Something i really like about my department is that in my fourth year now we interact more with the professors, we do our own research, write our own thesis and also we present them in front of people which prepares us for our careers. Generally the university is a very beautiful place, its really big and very organized and in the center of Thessaloniki. I would actually recommend studies in AUTH because i think it would be a great experience and its one of the best universities in the whole country.
