HUFS has its title as “Come to HUFS, and Meet the World”. In my opinion, my experience at HUFS as an exchange student proves that the whole world became my new home.
The organization for exchange/foreign students really cares about the strangers. International Student Organization(ISO) holds various events for students, regular students and foreign exchange students, to share their cultures and to help them all get along well in Seoul life.
Also, they have schorlarships you can apply for, unless you’re Korean (I couldn’t get one since I wasn’t a foreigner…sadly)
For the regular faculty classes/courses they offer, even it says it’s taught in English, most of the foreign language(Language major classes) classes are discussed in Korean. Forexample, Spanish Grammar (intermediate) is explained and taught in Korean with the original(spanish) text.
So, my friends had some small problems on choosing classes since they couldn’t understand Korean.
So, becareful to enroll the courses you’d like to take. If the courses are taught by foreign professors, it’ll most likely be in English or Foreign language, not Korean. =)
